Marg Crew, Book Club Coordinator PHOTO-OP FOR YOU AND YOURS We were excited about the wonderful response to our request to make photo appointments last Sunday. If you haven’t done so, please make your appointment as soon as possible to select the time that best suits your schedule. There will be a desk in the lobby before and after the service on Sunday mornings in June.
An additional day has been added in AugustWednesday the 14th. The days available in September are 5, 6 and 7. Appointments are in the afternoon and evening except for Saturday, September 7th when they are from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Thank you from the Membership and Communication Committees The Wayne & Mary Linkert Memorial Committee support both these camps with donations each year. In addition, we have assisted youth from Parkwoods who attended Ryde Lake Camp. This year, we will assist any youth from Parkwoods to attend either
Further information regarding camps is on the desk outside the church office. MILK BAG MATS Yes, we are continuing to collect clean, washed, flattened (not folded in any way) milk bags. The box for your contributions is still in the lobby outside the church office. I am delighted to advise you that the last quantity of bags you saved are now on their way to
As always, if you can cut, tie or crochet the bags into mats, please speak to Carol Gurd for instructions. GETTING TO KNOW YOU Let’s make May “Getting to Know You” month. There are many new faces at Parkwoods these days and some of us are having trouble remembering names. The new members and visitors are eager to learn the names of the people they see on Sunday morning, so let’s help each other out by wearing our name tags. Everyone should have a name tag in the case in the hallway outside the sanctuary. If yours is not there, please speak to Carolyn Horton, Donna Leistner and we will have a new one made for you. If you take your name tag home on occasion and do not have yours some Sunday morning, you can make a temporary one at the desk in the hall. By the end of May we should know everyone’s name. There will be a test!!! Donna and Carolyn (Membership Co-chairs) EVA’S PLACE
