Sparks: Meet Monday evenings from 6:30 to 7:30 o’clock. Member’s ages are 5 and 6 years old.

In Sparks, girls are encouraged to try a bit of everything and begin discovering their individual skills, talents and interests. Girls will make lots of new friends, start earning badges and begin to learn all kinds of new skills in a safe and fun atmosphere.

Brownies: Meet Monday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 o’clock. Member’s ages are 7 and 8 years old.

The hands-on Brownies program is all about encouraging girls to develop their own identity and positive relationships with others. Brownies gain confidence by learning skills that they can use in their daily lives and develop a commitment to their community through service projects and special events. Programming covers safety and healthy choices, science and technology, the arts and eco-awareness and camping.

Sample activities may include how to build and light a campfire, community service projects, planning menus for healthy eating and planting an edible garden.

Guides: Meet Monday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 o’clock. Member’s ages are 9 to 11 years old.

In Guides, girls strengthen their leadership skills by taking the lead in Unit activities, learning to organize events and teaching each other new skills, all while having fun with girls their own age. The Guide program includes activities that deal with cyber safety, anti-bullying, self-esteem, health and fitness and environmental sustainability. Guides also have opportunities to take action on issues important to them and to make an impact on their community through service projects such as tree planting and volunteering at local food banks.

Sample activities may include camping, learning about online safety, starting a book club, planning a tree planting project and making gift baskets for women’s shelters.
